We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.

For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.

Parent Communication
Parent partnership is highly valued at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Primary School Caringbah and essential in ensuring that all student learning needs are catered for. Ongoing communication with your child’s teacher/teachers is important in  developing student growth and performance.

Parents have regular opportunities to see learning in action in the classroom, as well as various other opportunities throughout the year to visit the school, including parent information nights, weekly assemblies, Liturgical events and special event days such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Grandparent’s Day, the annual Newman Symposium, Sports Carnivals and Book Week.

Communication with parents relating to school events is provided through a weekly school newsletter, the Compass student information system, emails, phone and Facebook social media.

Communication protocols include:

Contacting the school office through info School Info link  for parent/teacher/principal interviews to ensure appropriate collaborative dialogue at an appropriate time for all parties involved.

Parents as Partners
We are incredibly fortunate to have a school community that is always willing to lend a hand during a number of other activities that could not run without the generosity of volunteers. We  have a Parent Group Association to strengthen the partnership between family, school, parish and the wider community for the benefit of students’ development and learning. The Parent Group discuss school-related matters, including curriculum, school and Parish  events, resources, student achievement as well as plans for future school maintenance and social activities.

Canteen
Our canteen is operated by The Wellbeing Canteen and is open everyday at recess and lunch.  Lunch orders can be made on-line or via the traditional money/order in a paper bag process. To set up your child’s account – click the menu link and go to “Create Account” and follow the prompts.
